2. Hosting and Server Log Files
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, on servers located in Germany.
When you visit our website, technically necessary data is processed, including your IP address, date and time of access, pages visited, and browser information. This processing is necessary to deliver the website and protect it against attacks.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests).
A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is in place with IONOS.
Retention period for server log files: [Insert retention period]
Data backups:
To prevent data loss in the event of technical problems, we back up our database and contractual documents daily on our server at IONOS.
Backups are automatically deleted after 30 days. If an account is deleted, its data will also be removed from backups within 30 days at the latest.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) and Art. 32 GDPR.
3. Cookies and Website Statistics
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Our website uses only two technically necessary cookies:
- Session cookie: Keeps you logged in and ensures that forms can be submitted securely.
- Security cookie (CSRF): Protects against forged requests.
Neither cookie is used to create user profiles.
Both cookies become invalid when the session ends or after a maximum of two hours of inactivity. The "Remember Me" function extends the session until you log out.
Legal basis: Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
External media preferences
Your decision to allow external media such as YouTube or SoundCloud is stored only in your browser's local storage (localStorage), not on our server.
You can change your preferences at any time using the "Cookie Settings" option at the bottom of each page.
Website statistics
We measure page views using our own cookie-free analytics system hosted on our server.
The following information is collected:
- Pages visited
- Referring website (domain name only)
- Country
- Browser language
- Device type
- Clicks on external links
Your country is determined using your IP address and a locally hosted country database (DB-IP Lite). No information is transferred to third parties during this process.
We do not store IP addresses.
To count unique visitors per day, we generate a checksum based on the IP address, browser identifier, and a randomly generated value that changes daily.
The random value is discarded after each day, preventing the checksum from being linked back to individual users.
Statistics are deleted after 13 months.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests in privacy-friendly audience measurement).
No information is stored on or retrieved from your device for this purpose.
4. Fonts
All fonts used on our website are hosted locally on our own server.
No connections are established with Google Fonts or other external font providers.
5. Embedded Content (SoundCloud and YouTube)
SoundCloud
Podcasts and DJ mixes are embedded using SoundCloud (SoundCloud Global Limited & Co. KG, Berlin, Germany).
The SoundCloud player is loaded only after you click "Load Player".
Only then may information such as your IP address be transmitted to SoundCloud.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
YouTube
Videos on artist pages are embedded using YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
A connection to YouTube is established only after you click "Play Video".
When the video is loaded, personal data may be transferred to Google, including to the United States.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
6. Contact by Email and Contact Form
If you contact us by email, for example to submit a demo, we process the information you provide to handle your request.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.
Your information is deleted when it is no longer required.
Contact form
When using our contact form, the following information is transmitted:
- Name
- Email address
- Subject
- Message
We store this information to process and respond to your inquiry.
The information is deleted once the request has been completed, provided no statutory retention obligations apply.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.
The security verification (arithmetic question) operates without external services. The answer is stored only within your session.
Message history
After submitting a request, you receive a confirmation email containing a personal link.
This link allows you to view our responses and continue the conversation directly on our website.
The conversation is stored together with your inquiry and deleted when the inquiry is removed.
If you contact a specific person through a team page, that person receives your message, and the label receives a copy.
7. User Accounts
To create and maintain a user account, we process:
- Name
- Email address
- Encrypted password
For DJ applications, we additionally process:
- DJ name

Confirmation emails, reminders, and notifications are sent through IONOS email servers.
You can delete your account at any time and download your personal data through:
My Area → Account & Privacy
Profile pictures
You may voluntarily upload a profile picture.
Your profile picture appears next to your comments in the DJ Pool and is visible to all DJ Pool members.
If you have not uploaded a separate profile picture, we may use the photo from your DJ or artist profile, provided you have created one.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR.
You can remove your profile picture at any time. It will also be deleted when your account is deleted.
8. DJ Pool: Downloads and Ratings
We record which tracks you download and when they are downloaded, as well as the ratings you submit.
This information is required for the 14-day rating rule and DJ Pool charts.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Protection against unauthorized distribution
Each downloaded audio file contains an invisible, randomly generated identifier.
This identifier allows us to associate an unauthorized copy of a track with the original download.
The purpose is to protect unreleased music against unauthorized distribution and leaks.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests).
DJ feedback and support
We only display your comments together with your name as "Supported by" on our website or Instagram if you have explicitly agreed.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
You may withdraw your consent at any time.
Timed track comments
Comments submitted at specific points within a track are visible to all DJ Pool members.
These comments may include:
- Your DJ name
- Your profile picture
- The timestamp within the track
- Your star rating, if provided
These comments are not publicly accessible on the internet.
Star ratings contribute to the track's overall rating and the DJ Pool charts.
You can delete your comments at any time. They will also be deleted when your account is deleted.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Last visit information
To show you which tracks have been added since your last visit, we store the timestamp of your most recent visit to the DJ Pool overview.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

The information is deleted when your account is deleted.
11. Sharing Information with Partner Labels

You decide which additional information you share with the partner label.
The partner label is independently responsible for any subsequent collaboration and related data processing.
You may withdraw your consent at any time. If you do so, we will remove your demo from the partner label area.
